Exterior Finishes

Match your style

Thanks to the versatility of our SIPS garden rooms, you can choose almost any exterior finish to fit the style of your new outdoor living space. Whether you wish to make a bold statement or to match your existing architecture, we will have an option to suit you.

What sets us apart is that we don't just install standard cladding. Why not speak to our team about the small details that are important to you? Our personal touch will set your building apart for you to enjoy for years to come.

To help you decide we have listed below a range of our most popular finishes.

Western Red Cedar

The most popular choice for outdoor buildings thanks to it's straight wood grain, beautiful colour and natural scent. Cedar is a sustainable, light-weight wood that is naturally resistant to moisture, rot and insects. Cedar does not need to be treated but will turn silver in colour over time if not treated.

Siberian Larch

An alternative to Cedar, Larch displays a natural yellow / straw colour with relatively few knots and is also naturally resistant to rot and decay. It is not necessary to treat Larch but it will also turn silver over time if not treated.

Thermowood

A budget-friendly alternative to Cedar and Larch, Thermowood is a heat treated softwood that displays a darkish brown colour. Denser than Cedar but lighter than Larch, the heat treatment makes Thermowood resistant to rot and decay but will also turn silver if un-treated.

Fibre-cement board

Available in either a contemporary smooth finish or wood-grain effect, Fibre-cement boards are extremely weather resistant. Coming in a range of colours that are incorporated during manufacture, this choice of finish will require very little maintenance. This product works very well as an accent feature when mixed with natural wood cladding.
